Identity Verification Policy

Last updated ยท Draft ยท 18 July 2026

This is a working draft for product purposes. Before launch, have it reviewed and finalised by qualified Indian legal counsel.

What we check, how a human reviews it, and what happens at each outcome.

What we check

Six levels: phone (one-time code), email (confirmation link), government ID, face match, a live video recording, and a background check. All six are required before you can book a companion, and before a companion profile becomes discoverable.

The live video

You record a few seconds of video in the app, following an on-screen prompt chosen at random. This proves a live person is present rather than someone holding up a photograph. It must be recorded in the app โ€” uploading a stored clip is not accepted, because a saved file proves nothing about who is present. The recording is reviewed by a person, is never shown on your profile, and is never shared with other members.

The background check

There is nothing for you to upload. Once your ID, face photo and live video are submitted and your email is confirmed, the background check is raised automatically for our safety team to carry out against the identity you have proved.

Status flow

Submitted โ†’ Pending review โ†’ Approved or Rejected. A reviewer may also request a resubmission if a document is simply unclear โ€” that is not a refusal, and you can upload a better one straight away. Rejections and resubmission requests always carry a written reason, shown to you on your account page.

Human review, not AI

Every decision is made by a trained reviewer on our safety team. We do not use AI or automated decision-making to approve or reject identities. If we introduce automated assistance we will update this policy, and human review will remain available to you.

One identity, one account

One government ID and one verified face may be linked to a single active account. Duplicate and multi-account detection uses reviewer comparison and device signals.

Re-verification and revocation

We may re-verify identities periodically, when risk signals appear, or after a safety report. Verification can be revoked if we find evidence of fraud, impersonation or document tampering.

Your data

See the Privacy Policy for exactly what identity and biometric data we collect, how it is encrypted, who can access it, how long it is kept, and how to withdraw consent or request erasure.
